REACH STACKER WITH ROTATING BOOM FOR COILS HANDLING

  • This solution allows a better use of space by stacking coils in 6 rows + corridor, instead of two rows as it is used with traditional frontal fork lift trucks.

REACH STACKER WITH MECHANICAL CLAMPS FOR HOT SLABS (over 800°)

  • This solution facilitates the handling of the slabs keeping the reach stacker away from heat. It allows wider field of view and higher capacities up to 45 -50 tons.

REACH STACKER SOLUTION FOR LARGE OIL AND GAS PIPES HANDLING

  • This is one of the latest applications of the Reach Stacker and FTMH has been studying new equipment which allow the handling of these pipes in a safe and fast way.
  • This solution, which consists of an attachment to be clamped with the spreader of the machine in 30’ position as if it were a container for pipe handling.
  • Finished work, the reach stacker can again be used for moving containers.
  • With this equipment you can handle simultaneously two pipes 18 ton each, or a pipe of 36 ton by approaching the clamps, and then stack them up to the 4th height (see photo).
  • Another solution studied and realized by FTMH is to use the base of a standard spreader and replace the telescopic arms with terminals equipped with 2 pipe clamps similar to those of the previous equipment.
  • This application can only be used in pipes handling Nr.2 pipes of 23 tons each simultaneously for a total length of 12.8 mt or Nr.1 pipe of 46 Tons.
  • After finishing the pipes job, which normally takes 18 to 24 months, the terminal operator may buy the standard spreader extensions for container handling and use the stacker for this new job. This way the terminal operator has a standard operating machine.

MECCHANICAL CLAMP SOLUTION FOR PIPE HANDLING WITH BOTH CRANE AND REACH STACKER

  • This is one of the latest FTMH equipment for pipe handling. Its peculiarity is to be able to be applied to both the reach stacker and the cranere.
  • This solution, which consists of an attachment to be clamped with the spreader of the machine in 30’ position as if it were a container for pipe handling.
  • Finished work, the reach stacker can again be used for moving containers.
  • With this equipment you can handle simultaneously two pipes 18 ton each, or a pipe of 36 ton by approaching the clamps, and then stack them up to the 4th height.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL REACH STACKER FOR RIVER PORTS

  • These Stackers are also used in container handling on river boats and in this case it is possible to reduce costs when compared to traditional cranes on tires or rails.
  • Also in this case the required model of stacker depends on the distances or the negative level of the containers.

VACUUM EQUIPMENT STACKER

  • Sometimes the pipes have different lengths and different diameters. In this case you can use the stacker with a "vacuum" equipment, which can handle thanks to the suction cups, large pipes (even more than two), safely and without risk of damage.

'SAFEJOB' CONTAINER WEIGHING SYSTEM

    FTMH developed one of the most advanced weighing systems for Reach Stackers available on the market, called “SAFEJOB”.
  • It meets all international and recently also the SOLAS requirements
  • Our system is based on digital load cells placed inside the twist locks.
  • The load cells send (via Wi-Fi) the weighing information to the computer in the cabin.
  • The operator can print the gross weight, enter container identifying serial number and also transmit this information to the operation center of the port or terminal using Wi-Fi or GSM.
  • The advantage of our system is the high accuracy and fast operation.
  • The accuracy of our system is less than 1 per thousand and to weigh the container you need to make only one movement.
  • By using a truck scale, you need to drive twice over the scale, first without the container and then with container and you have to drive additional distance to the scale because of its fixed position on the terminal.
  • The system requires no special maintenance, does not require frequent calibration and service life of the twist locks remains the same.
